QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Here is a collection of questions and answers across all of Sabrina’s services. If you have any queries about any of the below information please do not hesitate to contact Sabrina.

MICROBLADING

  • Microblading is a semi-permanent technique that involves etching brow stroke-like hairs into the skin, with a hand-tool formed of tiny needles, alongside a pigment that is chosen according to your skin tone.

  • Discomfort is subjective, it is not a facial or another type of relaxing treatment. The appointment time includes thorough brow mapping, and the actual blading time does not take too long. Breaks are always possible and some of Sabrina’s clients have fallen asleep during the treatment!

  • The following issues could prevent you from being cleared for treatment. Please check this list before enquiring, if you are not sure please email me and or speak to your GP

    • Pregnant or breastfeeding – you can still book an appointment for when you are ready to avoid a long wait.

    • Keloid or another scarring on the brow area.

    • Very oily or melanin-rich skin – Sabrina recommends machine brows (DM for my waitlist).

    • Currently taking blood thinners.

    • Recently had botox/fillers – important to wait at least 2 weeks before having your brows done.

    • Are you currently taking Roaccutane or have you taken it within the last 6 months?

    • If you have recently undergone chemo, please get in touch so Sabrina can give you more bespoke advice, Sabrina recommends waiting 6 months as your skin will be very sensitive from treatment.

    • 1st session – up to 2 hours

    • 2nd session - up to 2 hours

  • Everyone’s skin is different, and the healing process is very important. Your brows, if well looked after will last up to 2 years. During our consultation and appointments, Sabrina will explain what you need to do to ensure brow longevity. Sabrina offers refresh appointments for up to 12 months and up to 24 months. Please see Sabrina’s service list for further information on this. The aftercare and general care of your brows is not difficult or time-consuming, but it is important to care for them.

  • During the first appointment, we will go through aftercare advice and the healing process. You can also see the information I go through with you at the appointment here.

    • Day 1-3: Your newly microbladed brows may feel tender, and tight and look red/ pink/ peach/ warm - depending on your skin tone.

    • Day 4-5: Your brows may look quite dark/bold They may start to look flaky/scabby They may be itchy - this is the skin healing

    • Day 6-8: You may notice more scabbing, flaking, and peeling, resist any picking as your skin will not be healed underneath.

    • Day 9-12: Most of the flaky skin should have subsided now. Your brows may look like the pigment has faded - have faith that it will return.

    • Day 12-21: Your brows will look more natural now - for some people this may take a little longer.

    • Day 22-30: Your skin should feel totally healed by day 30.
