What Lip Blush does
Lip Blush adds colour through the lips and defines the natural border. The effect can be soft or more defined, while the natural volume, shape and movement remain unchanged.
Initial treatment · £375 · 120 minutes
Required Refinement · £150 · 90 minutes
Lip Blush is a two-part treatment. The required Refinement takes place four to eight weeks after the first appointment, once the lips have healed.
A little more colour through the lips or a clearer border can change how the natural shape reads. The appointment covers both the shade and the amount of colour you would like to see day to day. A reference lipstick can help explain your preferences; your own lip tone also contributes to the healed colour.
Colour and definition
The change comes from colour and a clearer border. Lip volume remains the same.
Colour selection
Bring a lipstick you love if it helps explain the colour you have in mind. Sabrina assesses your natural lip colour and skin tone before mixing a shade, and explains how the colour is likely to soften as it heals.
The outline
The outline is drawn and agreed before treatment. Sabrina works within the natural lip tissue, assessing the mouth at rest and as it moves.
You can see and discuss the proposed outline before pigment is placed. If you have had Lip Filler or previous Permanent Make-up, include the dates when enquiring so Sabrina can assess the existing work and recommend timing.
Healing and aftercare
Fresh colour appears bright and defined, then softens considerably. Tenderness, dryness and light flaking can form part of the early healing stage. Sabrina provides guidance for cleansing, moisturising and protecting the lips, with the healed colour assessed at the Refinement four to eight weeks later.
Allow time for the lips to heal before an important occasion. Bring any questions about work, travel or your normal make-up routine to the appointment. Sabrina will explain the care your lips need and when the colour can be assessed.
Cold sores and Lip Blush
Lip treatment can encourage a cold-sore recurrence in clients with a previous history. A pharmacist, GP or prescribing clinician can advise on suitable antiviral preparation before the appointment; Sabrina supplies the timing information needed for that conversation.
Can Lip Blush make lips look fuller?
Lip Blush does not add volume. Greater definition and a little more colour can make the natural lips appear more present while keeping their existing shape and movement.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding and medical suitability
Semi-Permanent Make-up is not carried out during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. You’re welcome to get in touch to plan an appointment for afterwards. Medication, skin conditions, medical treatment and recent procedures can influence comfort, healing and pigment retention, so a short conversation with SHY before booking gives Sabrina the information needed to guide the appointment.
Clients using prescription retinoids, anticoagulant or antiplatelet medication, or living with a condition affecting healing or immunity should contact the studio first. Prescribed medication should continue exactly as directed by the prescribing clinician. Written medical clearance may occasionally be requested.
Patch testing
A patch test is required at least 48 hours before treatment and remains valid for six months while the products and medical circumstances remain unchanged. Clients can visit SHY between 10am and 4pm, Tuesday to Saturday; a separate appointment is unnecessary.
Can I still wear lipstick?
Yes. Once the lips have fully healed, lipstick can be worn as usual. Lip Blush provides a base colour, leaving room to enjoy different make-up looks. The aftercare guidance explains when lip products can be reintroduced.
