Start with the brow you have
Brow shape is influenced by growth, density, proportion and expression. Sabrina assesses how the brow sits within the face, then draws the proposed shape and agrees the thickness and colour before pigment is placed.

AfterWhat Microblading can do
Microblading can fill gaps, rebuild a sparse tail, add density through the body of the brow and create a more complete shape. The healed appearance depends on the existing hair, skin condition, pigment and the way the brow is designed.
The hairstrokes create the appearance of hair; they do not stimulate new growth. Sabrina follows the direction of the existing brow hair, adapting the density and structure to the individual face.
Microblading differs from brow tinting and lamination. Tint adds colour to existing hair; lamination redirects the hair; Microblading places pigment into the skin and includes a healing period followed by a Refinement.
The appointment
Sabrina draws the shape first, assessing the balance of the brow and its relationship to the face. Once the design has been agreed, the hairstrokes are placed gradually, with the shape checked throughout the treatment. Aftercare and the Refinement appointment are explained before departure.
Preparing for the appointment
A patch test is required before treatment. Clients with previous brow pigment should send clear photographs in daylight so Sabrina can assess the existing colour, placement and saturation before an appointment is selected.
Agreeing the shape
The proposed shape includes the front of the brow, the arch and the tail. Sabrina assesses the brow at rest and as the expression changes, then agrees the design before pigment is placed.
Healing, week by week
Fresh brows appear darker, warmer and more defined. The surface settles over the following days, with light flaking and a temporarily paler stage forming part of the healing cycle. Treatment-specific cleansing, moisture and protection guidance is supplied at the appointment.
The Refinement
The Refinement takes place four to eight weeks after the initial appointment, once the healed colour and retention can be assessed. Sabrina then adjusts density, balance and individual strokes where needed.

Microblading or Nano Brows?
Both treatments create manual hairstrokes in the skin. Nano Brows use a finer blade and can create especially slender strokes. The appropriate technique depends on the skin, natural hair, existing pigment and the healed appearance being sought.
Previous brow pigment
Clear photographs in natural daylight give Sabrina an accurate view of existing colour, placement and saturation. The studio can then recommend fresh hairstrokes, a different technique or a lightening plan.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding and medical suitability
Semi-Permanent Make-up is not carried out during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. You’re welcome to get in touch to plan an appointment for afterwards. Medication, skin conditions, medical treatment and recent procedures can influence comfort, healing and pigment retention, so a short conversation with SHY before booking gives Sabrina the information needed to guide the appointment.
Clients using prescription retinoids, anticoagulant or antiplatelet medication, or living with a condition affecting healing or immunity should contact the studio first. Prescribed medication should continue exactly as directed by the prescribing clinician. Written medical clearance may occasionally be requested.
Patch testing
A patch test is required at least 48 hours before treatment and remains valid for six months while the products and medical circumstances remain unchanged. Clients can visit SHY between 10am and 4pm, Tuesday to Saturday; a separate appointment is unnecessary.
