Nano Brows are a manual semi-permanent brow treatment using very fine pigment strokes to create the appearance of brow hair. Sabrina uses a precision nano blade, and draws and agrees the shape before pigment is placed. Appointments take place at SHY in Lewes.

What “nano” means
“Nano” describes the fineness of the hairstrokes. The technique uses a manual nano blade to create slender strokes, with the final appearance shaped by skin, existing hair, pigment and healing.

Before
AfterDesigned around the face
Sabrina assesses the brow at rest and as the expression changes. Hair direction, density, skin tone, skin condition, existing pigment and personal style all influence the design.
Seeing the shape first
Shape, fullness and colour are drawn and agreed before pigment is placed. References and the usual make-up routine help establish the level of definition required.
Microblading or Nano Brows?
Both treatments create manual hairstrokes in the skin. Nano Brows use a finer blade and can create especially slender strokes. The appropriate technique depends on the skin, natural hair, existing pigment and the healed appearance being sought.
Healing and the Refinement
Fresh hairstrokes begin darker and more defined, then soften through the skin’s healing cycle. The healed brow is assessed four to eight weeks later, when colour, density and balance can be adjusted at the Refinement.

Previous brow pigment
Natural-light photographs allow Sabrina to assess existing pigment before booking. If old pigment would show through new strokes, the studio may suggest lightening it first.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding and medical suitability
Semi-Permanent Make-up is not carried out during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. You’re welcome to get in touch to plan an appointment for afterwards. Medication, skin conditions, medical treatment and recent procedures can influence comfort, healing and pigment retention, so a short conversation with SHY before booking gives Sabrina the information needed to guide the appointment.
Clients using prescription retinoids, anticoagulant or antiplatelet medication, or living with a condition affecting healing or immunity should contact the studio first. Prescribed medication should continue exactly as directed by the prescribing clinician. Written medical clearance may occasionally be requested.
Patch testing
A patch test is required at least 48 hours before treatment and remains valid for six months while the products and medical circumstances remain unchanged. Clients can visit SHY between 10am and 4pm, Tuesday to Saturday; a separate appointment is unnecessary.
