What is Lash Enhancement?
A small amount of pigment is placed through the lash roots to deepen the appearance of the lash line and bring definition to the eyes. The pigment follows the lash line and remains within its natural structure.

How it looks
Lash Enhancement creates the darker-looking roots that give the eyes definition when eyeliner has been applied. The existing lashes remain central to the appearance, with the pigment placed through the lash line.
Lash Enhancement or a Lash Lift?
Lash Enhancement gives definition at the lash roots. A Lash Lift changes the curve of the eyelashes. The two treatments create different effects and can be discussed according to the desired emphasis: density at the roots or lift through the lashes.
What happens at the appointment?
Sabrina assesses the eye shape, lash density, colouring and movement of the eyelids before placing the pigment. The intended placement is explained before treatment, and comfort and aftercare are covered throughout the appointment.
Contact lenses are removed for treatment, so bring glasses if needed. Please mention previous eyeliner tattooing when enquiring so the existing colour and placement can be assessed.
Healing and your Refinement
The lash line can look stronger immediately after treatment, and temporary puffiness can occur. The pigment settles as the skin heals. Follow the eye-area aftercare supplied at your appointment, including when to reintroduce eye make-up and contact lenses.
Your required Refinement takes place four to eight weeks later. This is when Sabrina assesses the healed pigment and makes any necessary adjustments to colour and continuity through the lash line. The first appointment and Refinement are two stages of the treatment.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding and medical suitability
Semi-Permanent Make-up is not carried out during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. You’re welcome to get in touch to plan an appointment for afterwards. Medication, skin conditions, medical treatment and recent procedures can influence comfort, healing and pigment retention, so a short conversation with SHY before booking gives Sabrina the information needed to guide the appointment.
Clients using prescription retinoids, anticoagulant or antiplatelet medication, or living with a condition affecting healing or immunity should contact the studio first. Prescribed medication should continue exactly as directed by the prescribing clinician. Written medical clearance may occasionally be requested.
Patch testing
A patch test is required at least 48 hours before treatment and remains valid for six months while the products and medical circumstances remain unchanged. Clients can visit SHY between 10am and 4pm, Tuesday to Saturday; a separate appointment is unnecessary.
